The Raven Diaries Part IV

I named the raven fetchling Sammy. I don’t know, maybe it was the influence of watching too much Supernatural: the Series, or that it was just an easy sound for a raven to learn. I began saying his name every time I fed him. Of course I did not know if this bird was a male or female. My thinking was that if I have to call him when he starts flying he may be able to recognize the call.

Now that I think about it, most of my view of Sammy was looking down his throat. A peek in to the raven abyss

  1. Hey a fellow supernatural fan haha Don’t think I’ve ever heard of anyone trying to train a raven. good luck

  2. It’s fun seeing the raven “growing up.” How is Sammy roaming in and outside of the house? Keeping a bird alive from such a young age is impressive. How do you know what to do?

    • I did some research and found that there was not a lot of useful information out there. People think of ravens in many different ways and I am sure that I went through most of those thought myself. But what really helped was that I had the parents right there and I could see what they were doing for the ravens still in the nest.
